I use Firefox version 24. When I try to connet some web site. it will show error message :

"The connection was reset
The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading."

After search web, I found the solution in this page

Here are step by step:
(1) in url bar, input about:config
(2) click button I'll be careful. I promise!
(3) in search colum, input security.tls.version.max
(4) the default value is 0 , changed it to 3

done!

security.tls.version.max meaning is as following
0
SSL 3.0 is the minimum required / maximum supported encryption protocol. (This is the current default for the minimum required version.)
1
TLS 1.0 is the minimum required / maximum supported encryption protocol. (This is the current default for the maximum supported version.)
2
TLS 1.1 is the minimum required / maximum supported encryption protocol.
3
TLS 1.2 is the minimum required / maximum supported encryption protocol. (Not supported in Firefox 23.0 and SeaMonkey 2.20.)

Because SSL 3.0 has bug, so many websits remove SSL 3.0.  That is why Firefox default setting "0" goes wrong.

 使用火狐24，結果連結到某些網站時(特別是購物刷卡頁面)，會出現下面的錯誤

"The connection was reset
The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading."

找到一下網路的解法，後來在這裏找到

這是步驟教學
(1) 在網址列輸入 about:config
(2) 按下 I'll be careful. I promise!
(3) 在上方欄位(search) security.tls.version.max
(4) 預設值是0 , 改成 3

完成!

security.tls.version.max 的意義如下
0表示SSL 3.0为最低要求或加密协议的最大支持版本。
1表示TLS 1.0为最低要求或加密协议的最大支持版本。
2表示TLS 1.1为最低要求或加密协议的最大支持版本。
3表示TLS 1.2为最低要求或加密协议的最大支持版本。

因為SSL3.0出現漏洞，所以很多網站取消了SSL3.0，故原來的"0"設定，會導致連結失效
